Have You Taken Time to Show Someone Kindness Today

Quotes of Day: "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see...."
~Mother Teresa

"A little kindness can work wonders like a medicine."
~Zachary

Stories of the Day:
"The Wise Woman's Stone"
A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him; she did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune; he knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman. "I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."
~Author Unknown

We who are Christians know what the wise women had--the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaking of kindness, I remember a day not long ago that was not going well; I got an email from someone thanking me for something I had done and that made such a difference.  While that was more gratitude on the part of the sender than kindness, I believe that gratitude and kindness go hand and hand.  Here is a good video about showing kindness.

Go make someone's day.

Friday Post Continued

Quotes of the day:
"One way to make sure crime doesn't pay would be to let the government run it."
~ ~ Ronald Reagan

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."
~ ~ Sir Winston Churchill

So, how many of you ate your frog first thing in the morning for more than three days in a row? Isn't it amazing how much easier it is to procrastinate?
The Republican reorganization meeting was well attended; however, my mother and I were the only ones who attended from our precinct. We elected ourselves president and vice president respectively, and I was also elected committeeman--lucky me, two positions. I assure you, those were close elections.☺
Here is a link to a movie from Simple Truths titled, "You Can't Send a Duck to Eagle School."  It talks about attitude, integrity, and character and I recommend you watch it and share it with others.

Are You Grateful To Be Able To Complain?

Quote of the day: "To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right
is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will." ~ Ronald Reagan

A short note on the quote of the day: the GOP is reorganizing and electing officers so this is the time to get involved.  I have been meaning to for a long time but have never made the time, well this year I will be attending my precinct meeting which will be a new experience for me so I am kind of excited about it.  I would urge any of you who want to help in keeping South Carolina conservative to make the effort to attend your precinct meeting.  We are all very busy, but let's not let the crocodile eat us!

Now to my post, my teacher made a comment today that made me think about how we, the American consumer, have been accustomed from infancy to adulthood to complain about things we don't like--and that that is a privilege.  I have been thinking on just what a privilege it really is to be able to complain. So many times we take this for granted but in many other countries complaining or disagreeing is not tolerated and usually dealt with harshly. While I do not think we should go around complaining, the next time you are tempted to complain, I hope you stop and think about the privileges you have.

A good thought for today.

Well, this is the first post that I have ever done on a blog , so I welcome feedback regarding improvement.
My marketing teacher shared this video with us today and I thought it worth sharing. I also recommend going to simpletruths.com from time to time to see their inspirational movies.
